After working with Miles Davis on "In A Silent Way", John McLaughlin released his debut solo album, "Extrapolation". Before it's jazz-fusion revolution with the Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Inner Mounting Flame", "Extrapolation" explored complicated hard-bop variations, with some free in it, plus, some gentle acoustic explorations that would later be more explored in the Shakti projects.
Take some time to listen to this album, later on Mr. McLaughlin will return with more surprises.
